About Us
Corinne Kasten founder of this concept experienced and went through all the process to set up and run a French Bakery in Southern California.
French from the South of France, she got degrees and experience in business/sales and marketing.
She worked for an American multinational company in France and ran successful businesses in France then immigrated to the USA as an investor and a private real estate investor. She managed both employees in France or in America.
She lived 9 years in the USA: Manhattan, Los Angeles, San Diego and travelled a lot in the States. She knows the United States very well.
She missed real tasty fresh French viennoiseries, pastries, cakes and desserts and couldn’t find anything good enough for her palate done the old fashioned way. So, she bought a 5,000 square feet building and remodelled it into an Artisan bakery / Café with 80 seats. The high-end bakery Café got a prize and was elected best restaurant in a town of 60,000 people by its Chamber of Commerce.
She hired 2 highly competent, experienced and creative French Baker chef & Pastry chef. Both got distinctions as best apprentice baker and pastry with the highest French diploma degrees (BEP, CAP, BM in Bakery & Pastry).
Her master chefs didn’t stay in the United States. Then, she learned their techniques and recipes in a very short time. We did production quality like a professional baker after 3 weeks in fact. The teaching lasts only 1 week, because this is the time require to acquire the knowledge, and then 2 more weeks are needed to practice what has been taught to achieve a professional production quality line.
Corinne became seriously sick with thyroid problems when she had the French Bakery Café and had to come back to France to take care of her health.
So she sold her business with the real estate 1 month after being on the market. The building price was $325,000. She also got a city grant of $80,000 for her building. After 2 years, she sold it all for $725,000.
The average time to sell a business with the real estate is about 1 year for information.
Corinne conceived this concept by focusing only on what works and makes money, at the same time maintaining quality products with a minimum of effort and time. In other words a fastrack to setting up a profitable French Bakery.
